What’s New?

Summer Reading 2024 was a success! Over 30 kids Kindergarten – 4th grade kept those reading skills sharp and reached their reading goals during the month of June. A big thank you to our sponsors – Erie Foods International, Erie State Bank, Gibson-Bode Funeral Homes, and Erie Township!


June will be here before we know it! Children who have completed Kindergarten – 4th grade are invited to be a part of our fun summer reading program. This is a great way to keep those reading skills sharp!


VOX Books are here! These are an audio book which can help your child follow along as the story is read to them. Here are a few of them but stop in soon to check out the others!


We’ve been busy at the Library! Some of the Board Members and librarians rearranged some shelves/books on the children’s side. Moving all the books is quite a chore! Stop in to see the change!


We are always looking for ways to better meet the needs of our patrons and would love to hear from you. Stop by the library to grab a patron survey and give your input and share your thoughts!


The Little Bookworms had a fun program in March with the theme “A, B, C, Read to Me”. While this was for our preschool patrons, the Summer Reading program for elementary students starts in June!


Prairie Cat is the catalog program where you can check to see if we have a book you’d like, order something from another library, or even renew your books! Here is the link to do that. If you have any problems, stop by the library for help. prcat.na2.iiivega.com



Ron Eckberg shared stories and songs about December during WWII. If you missed this one, watch this website or our Facebook page for another program by him in the spring.


Santa Claus and his elf made a visit to the library this week. He even brought a brand new book to every child who visited him!

We had a great time being ‘WILD ABOUT READING‘! We ended the program with supper and awards for the kids who reached their goal!
