Services

Library cards are issued to residents of our district which encompasses Erie, Fenton, Newton and most of Portland townships.

Bar coding for Library Patrons is available with the library inventory being part of the online PrairieCat catalog.   Please come in and apply for your bar-coded Library card at your convenience.  Children may have library cards at age six.

We are proud to offer the following:

  • Basement meeting room available for a variety of uses.  Please contact the Library for more information.
  • Four computers for public use
  • High-speed Internet access (wireless and wired access)
  • Copy machine (Color & black & white)
  • Large-print books
  • Audio books
  • Collection of DVDs for adults and children
  • Interlibrary loan through Prairie Area Library System – if we don’t have it, we can get it for you!
  • Search our online catalog via PrairieCat.
  • Check out an E-Book from Online Media of Northern Illinois (OMNI) using your EPLD library card.  To utilize this, please have your library card and PIN number handy.  If you need written instructions on using this service, please contact us.
  • Digital local newspaper holdings (Erie Independent, Review, etc.) at http://erieillinois.advantage-preservation.com
