Our library boasts a large children’s area with child-sized furniture, bean bag chairs, and colorful decor, all adding to the coziness of this area. It is spacious and comfortable for Story-Time with Pam. We have risers and an open play area complete with toys for the children to enjoy as well.
Received as a memorial gift, Grandma Julie’s Corner in the Children’s Area offers a chair-and-a-half for adults to comfortably enjoy reading books with their little ones.
We have a large collection of DVDs for adults and children. Display cases, which house pieces of the town’s history, are also located on the main floor.
The entire library is handicap-accessible, with an elevator providing access to the basement. Our basement has a spacious meeting room with various possibilities for setting up your meeting.
On October 24th, 2007, the Library Board voted to begin construction of an addition in the Spring of 2008. The new addition provides more room for circulating materials, reading areas, expanded public computers and better handicap accessibility.
The addition was officially opened to the public in February 2009 and has been greatly utilized ever since.
The basement meeting rooms were remodeled in recent years, and these improvements included waterproofing the walls, new paint, carpeting, and humidity control.
